Seeking 2010 Fairest of the Fair Applicants

SEEKING FAIREST OF THE FAIR CONTESTANTS

The 2010 Fond du Lac County Fair is looking for qualified Fairest of the Fair contestants.  The Fairest of the Fair will be the ambassador for the fair. He or she will be asked to attend various events to promote the fair and its many functions and events.  The Fairest is expected to attend all five days of the fair and be on hand for impromptu appearances as needed.  Additionally the Fairest will compete for the State Fairest of the Fair crown at the Wisconsin Association of Fairs State Convention held in January of 2011. 

Contestants must be 18 or over as of January 1 of the current year.  He or She must have been a resident of Fond du Lac County for at least one year or be an active member of a Fond du Lac County youth organization involved in exhibiting at the Fond du Lac County Fair.

Contestants will be judged wearing business professional attire.  Judging on the county level will be based on the following qualifications:  Personality, Poise, Appearance, Community Involvement, Speaking Ability, and a 30-second Public Service Announcement.

NEW THIS YEAR

The 2010 Fairest of the Fair will be crowned at a pre-fair event held at NorthWinds Supper Club in Eden, WI on May 23, 2010.
