Flag raising to open 156th Fond du Lac County Fair

A flag raising ceremony will officially open the 156th Fond du Lac County Fair. It will be held at 8 a.m., July 18, in front of the Fair Office, located in the Recreation Building on the Fairgrounds.

Members of the American Legion Trier-Puddy Post 75 will raise the flag in front of the Recreation Building at the fairgrounds. Mike Marx will play "To the Colors" on the trumpet while the flag is being raised. Melissa Kottke will sing "The Stars Sangled Banner" after the flag is raised.

The flagpoles were donated in 2002 to the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds by the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 11.

The Fairgrounds are located at the corner of Martin Avenue and Fond du Lac Avenue in Fond du Lac.
