At the annual meeting of the Fond du Lac County Agricultural Society, the late Neil Batterman was recognized with an Appreciation Award for his involvement with youth and the Fond du Lac County Fair.  Neil was instrumental in organizing the Livestock Committee, as well as the livestock sale, held annually at the Fair.  In addition, his trucking business provided cattle hauling services to the youth in Fond du Lac County for many years.  He was a 4-H member, and then served as a 4-H leader for many years.  The award was presented to his son and daughter, Lee Batterman and Kay Steffens.
